Vinyl Acetate Plant Design
« on: July 26, 2007, 11:41:11 AM »
anyone have an idea about this plant?

Any flow sheet or chemical process flow?

In my design i would like to use Ethylene and Acetic Acid as Raw Material and oxygen take from air by using air separation unit.

Anyone know about the current market price for vinyl acetate, ethylene and acetic acid?

Hello najib_usm,

Unfortunately, I am unable to find a flow sheet, but was able to find the following paper:

http://www.netl.doe.gov/publications/proceedings/96/96jpfs/jpfs_pdf/syngas.pdf

I am assuming that you want to make the Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM).

The price of VAM is in a constant state of flux, and the price greatly depends on the part of the world you are planning to do business.  Searching google will usually help you find this information.

Sincerely,

Eugene
