...absolutely theoretical question from high school chemistry...
is it possible for a nucleotide to react with an alcohol (for example,methanol), so then, if the free hydroxygroups in deoxyribose or ribose are "blocked", what's the reaction between? does the aminogroup react with the alcohol or not? and what's the result of this reaction then?
