Chemistry Atams Molecules and Ions -chapter 2 Zumdahl

I am doing Ap Chemistry Work for summer and i am stuck on this one problem out of 102 of them... please help me!!! this is the question.



Dalton assumed that all atoms of the same element were identical in all of their properties. How have we had to modify  this?

An element is defined by how many protons it has in its nucleus, and the number of electrons is tied to the number of protons.  What else can you change?
