How to develop my PhD for the next 2 years??
« on: September 08, 2007, 01:23:44 PM »
Hi all,

I've just recently passed my first year viva exam but don't know what to do next in my PhD  :(

So at the moment I'm synthesizing sugar substrates to use in an assay system but now that I'm almost done, I don't know how to develop my PhD for the next two years..

Any ideas on what I can do?
Sugar chemistry... sweet or sour?

Talk to your supervisor. I don't think you've given enough information for anyone here to suggest avenues of further investigation - and nor do I think you should until you have discussed it with your supervisor as the work you are doing may be sensitive in in terms of intellectual property.

Read the literature, how can there not be questions you could apply your talents to answering?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
