Major Ionic Species of Na2CO3 in an aqueous solution

The Major Ionic Species of Na2CO3 in an aqueous solution to me seems to be Na2+ and Co3-2 can someone confirm or deny with proof please. thanks, this is my first chem class and my teacher isn't terribly thorough.

Yes, the major species are carbonate and sodium.  However Sodium is Na+ not Na2+.
