Hello,

A lot of people don't like the taste of milk. Is there an additive or combination of additives that neutralize or reduce the cow milk taste? On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk : The carbohydrate lactose gives milk its sweet taste and contributes about 40% of whole cow milk's calories. Lactose is a composite of two simple sugars, glucose and galactose.

Probably the cow milk taste is part of the Savouriness (umami) taste ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_taste

I tried to add some sodium bicarbonate but that gives a strange salt taste. Maybe I added too much?

On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flavour_enhancer is a list of flavour enhancer but I not experience in this field.
Maybe other products from the E-list work to influence the taste? Maybe some will cover (hide) the taste?

Any suggestions?

Why complicate a problem that was resolved successfully - and in a practical manner - by our grandmothers and mothers long ago?

My mom and grandmom always added that delectable Aztec delight, Chocolate, to my milk every morning before I went to school.  I later found out that the Anglophone world had also discovered this great way to drinking cow milk.

I've yet to discover (or hear of) a better addition to cow milk.  If you don't like Chocolate, you have to be the sole human being on this planet who doesn't.
