I am in ap chemistry and I have been asked to write the net ionic equation of S2O32-+I2->S4O62-+I-
It's redox in basic solution, but I'm solving it assuming it's acidic and changing it to basic at the end; it's easier for me that way. I got as far as finding the change in S as +0.5 and change in I as -1. Please help me...when I finished at the end I ended up with 10 OH- on the left on the left and 5H20 on the right...which I got from what I thought was doing the steps right, but H and O didn't end up balancing.
