Ionic Equations
« on: October 09, 2007, 05:31:24 PM »
Could anyone possibly tell me the net ionic equations for Pb(NO3)2 and Na2S (both aqueous) when they are mixed as well as (NH4)3PO4(aq) and CaCl2?

I think Pb(NO3)2 + Na2S has an ionic equation of
Pb(2+)(s) + NO3(-)(aq) + Na(+)(aq) + S(2-)(aq) --> PbS(s) + Na(+)(aq) + NO3(-)(aq)

and (NH4)3PO4(aq) and CaCl2(aq) has an ionic equation of
6NH4(+)(aq) + 2PO4(3-)(aq) + 3Ca(2+)(aq) + 6Cl(-)(aq) --> Ca3(PO4)2(s) + 6NH4(+)(aq) + 6Cl(-)(aq)

I'm not absolutely positive about those, but that's as far as I've gotten.

Cancel out spectators. These are net ionic equations.
