Hydrogen bonding
« on: October 18, 2007, 03:54:30 PM »
In an exam, a fill-in-the-blank question was

The ________________ from the accepter atom in a hydrogen bond "pulls" the hydrogen away from its covalent bond.

I wrote partial or full negative charge, but the instructor marked it wrong. :(
He said the answer was unpaired electrons, but my answer is right, too!
I really don't like my current instructor. He makes frequent mistakes and makes exams that have questions that are poorly worded and weighed unfairly. He only has Masters and even said it's his first time teaching a biochemistry course.

I'm not seeing a question here?
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' " -Ronald Reagan

"I'm for anything that gets you through the night, be it prayer, tranquilizers, or a bottle of Jack Daniels." -Frank Sinatra
