Hi I am really having a hard time learning from my Chemistry book. Can someone please help me with this question..?
A 0.205-g pellet of potassium hydroxide, KOH,is added to 55.9 g water in a styrofoam coffee cup. The water temperature rises from 23.5 to 24.4 degrees Celsius. Assume that the specifc heat of dilute KOH is the same as that of water. What is the approximate heat of solution of KOH, expressed as kilojoules per mole of KOH? The answer in the back of the book is -50 kJ/mol KOH. Thanx!!!!!!!!!
