Given that at equilibrium bond length Rc, electron affinity of halogen X equals ionization energy of metal Y. And there isn't much variation in potential energy V(R) between Rc and R = infinity
 How can we express Rc, for the first ionization energy of metal Y and the elctron affinity of Halogen X?
