What techniques can be used to characterize benzyl t-butyl ether?
Also if Ive been instructed not to distill this compound what other techniques can be used to purify it?

Surely you just characterise using the different spectroscopic techniques. The one you want to use depends on what you want to see (if it's pure or if it's just ID check)
