simple ionic strength
« on: November 19, 2007, 10:17:15 PM »
A cation-sensitive electrode displays a (referenced) potential of 224.6 mV in a 0.0146-M CaCl2 solution.

Calculate the ionic strength of the above solution.

I got all my practice problems but what does 224.6mV have anything to do with this.  Do i use Ksp??

E tells you what is activity of Ca2+ - how is activity related to concentration?
