Eocene
« on: November 21, 2007, 02:50:52 PM »
I was looking at some old drawings at an industrial plant. The drawings have markings for "Eocene Tank." Does anyone know what Eocene is?

Thanks.

God knows what it means in Chemistry - it is a palaeontological term referring to the period around 50 million years ago when mammals really got their act together after the extinction of the dinosaurs some 13 million years previously. It comes from Greek words meaning 'ancient recent'.
