What is the standard pronounciation for "Alkylidene"? Couldn't find it on the internet. Thanks!

Maybe not intentionally a trick question, but whilst I essentially agree with you, how do you pronounce al, or kill It's a matter of degree. Some pronounce carbonyl with a "neel" on the end, others "nile", or I've heard methyl pronounced almost like metal, or me-thile - which do you go with?

OK when my frind from PR says it sounds more like al-kill-i-dene...guess when I say it more like keel in ....al-keel-i-dene.....guess it depends on where you are from...what type of accent you have...
