change it structural at all depending on the type of compound it is? Like degrade it in to another compound?

I have some albuterol medication for asthma and I left it in my car and it froze up cause the temperatures here are below freezing. So I wanna make sure its safe to use when it thaws out.

YES it sure can...her is some 411 on albuterol MSDS:  http://www.bausch.com/en_US/msds/pharma_al/347-02.pdf

If you are wise you will call the pharmacy and check the stas on the medication...or you can do a websearch f"reezing point of albuterol"

It doesnt really say anywhere though that freezing point will alter the chemical structure. It just states the freezing point.

Freezing (around 0°C) does in almost any case not alter a chemical compound, but it can alter sometimes its physical properties.

As from reading I must assume that your Inhalator (as Aerosol) works also with a pseudo solution build from microcrystalline suspension in Ethanol (Mp. -114.3 °C) and Tetrafuoroethane (Mp. -26.3 °C), that it was not frozen.

But anyway in case of the fear for an Asthmatic:
What is losing 200 Inhalations (a Canister = few Dollars) compared with his asthma pain in case of incorrect amount/dose!

When you speak of "degradation" I assume you are referring to the effectiveness of the drug....you really should ask your pharmacist....if I had asthma...would not want to risk my meds not working when I needed them....you are not just talking about the active ingredients...the delivery system is a factor too....

I defer to a pharmacist....
