SAT CHem vs AP CHEM as review?
« on: January 24, 2008, 11:55:33 PM »
Which give a better review for a subject test in Chem to get certified to teach chemistry - the SAT review books for Chem or the AP Chemistry review books? Or are there any other sources that would be better? Thanks for the help.

Assuming you are at the college level Schaum's has some great review books but I don't see a problem with SAT or AP reviews except that their explanations may be simple or incomplete.  But review is review.  Where's your general chemistry textbook?

I am teaching at the high school level. I have 24 hours in Chem, but they are all 300 level or below.  I am not concerned about the basic info that I regularly teach, it's just the equalibrium, kinetics, thermochemistry, etc - that regular high school chemistry never touches on. I was looking for some workbooks to work on some sample problems to refresh my math/chem skills.
Thanks
