pi pi interactions and methanol and acetonitrile in HPLC

Hi, is it true that methanol will not disrupt pi pi interactions of a phenyl column in reversed phase HPLC, but that acetonitrile will.
Also, is it true that the dipole of methanol and acetonitrile will compete with the dipole of the cyano column in hplc
Hope someone can help
