Hi,

does anyone of you know where i can get a standard protocoll for BOC (the amino protecting group)

--> i want to treat my peptides with BOC, but i don't know how much i should add or what i should take care of... ) and where i can purchase the BOC reagent^^

Hey diablo

The BOC-protection is usually carried out using the BOC2O anhydride, which can be bought from for instance Sigma Aldrich.

Aqueous conditions slowly hydrolyze the anhydride, therefore this is unsuitable if the reaction is slow.

There are plenty of other possibilities...

You stated in another thread that you had FMOC protection on your peptide.  The NaOH used as the base in H2O can remove the FMOC.
