Hi folks
right now I am using Pt/Pd reverse micelle (RM) solution, which is reduced by hydrazine sulfate. I need somebody help to check my procedure
1. 8mmol PdCl2 dissolved in acidic solution; 4mmol H2PtCl6 dissolved in 100 ml DI water.
2. 2ml Triton X100 (surfactant)+7ml Cyclohexane+10ml propanol -2 (cosurfactant)+1.5ml of each solution 1.
3. Make the other RM solution +0.25M hydrazine sulfate.
there is some precipitate of solution 3, of course solution 4 also.
and I used this pt/pd to generate H2 with NaBH4.
My question is that is hrazine sulfate efficient to reduce pt/pd ?
also if I use NaBH4 to reduce pt/pd, what is the difference between that of hydrazine sulfate.
I ran the experiment of hydrogenation with NaBH4, the result is not quite good, so I think whether the efficiency of reduction is an influence.
If you guys have any idea about my procedure, just let me know.
Appreciate your help.
Best regards,
