Well this is my first post, but there is somthing i have been trying to figure out. This chemical is formed from Potassium Permanganate and a dry sulfuric acid. There is very little information on the internet and i figured id ask.I was also considering trying to make this if i could get the reactants and lab supplies needed. Does anybody know the risks/regulations of handling either the reactants or products of this reaction? And the things i would need.

Thanks,Arv

The reactants and products you list all have significant handling risks, all relative to your level of technical skill, circumstances, emergency procedures, volumes and equipment.  There is plenty of generalized information on these substances on the internet: {clicky}, not a general lack of it.  The specifics are usually reserved for people the speaker is secure already has the appropriate technical skill, circumstances, emergency procedures, volumes and equipment.  We tend to not give total noobs explosive making recipes, 'round here.  What can you tell us about your application?

Ok, Thanks. I honestly have very little experience with chemistry outside school. Im actually a sophmore but i just focus on science. I am just wanting to be a chemist and get interested in chemicals with wierd characteristics. Do you know of any jobs in the field that i get to handle and make things like that and if you do what should i do to prepare for them? But my teacher probably could make it. Its fine if u don't but it wuld be much apreciated if u did.

Again Thanks

See what's at the very back of your lab course book.  And ask your teacher if you can start with one of those.  It's a good chance to get your feet wet, and learn some new lab skill.  And if you make a hopeless mistake, you've got less chance of being hurt.

Yikes, bad spelling day

So what causes the properties. Does it just have a volatile oxidation reaction with anything that is capable of being oxidised because that is basically all i could think of.
