What reagents are required for this reaction?

Is furan aromatic? Is thiophene aromatic?
What position will you alkylate?

C-H activation

Do you know what C-H activation is?
How might sulfur aide in controlling C-H activation by lets say a Ruthenium catalyst?  What position will be alkylated?
