If you added a catalyst to a system would it change the direction of the equilibrium, if so would it be to the left or to the right?

No, a catalyst affects the
rate
of a reaction, not the direction. This is important to remember, it is a common confusion, and it gives rise to a common fake perpetual motion machine.
