I need to Use the van der Waals equation to calculate the pressure exerted by 1.050 of in a volume of 5.500 at a temperature of 248.0 . And I cant seem to get the right answer.

OK, lets see what you have, include the units too, that could be the problem.

the units are 1.050 mol of Cl2 in a volume of 5.500 L at a temperature of 248.0 K.
