Determine the molar heat of vaporization of water
« on: March 22, 2008, 02:21:56 PM »
H2(g) + 1/2 O2 (g) --> H2O(g) + 242. 8 kJ
H2(g) + 1/2 O2 (g)  --> H2O(l) + 286.9 kJ ( to 1 decimal place)

Please help
this isnt for marks or anything but it is a question that may be on my test.

What did I do wrong?
I did products - reactants (using standard enthalpies of formation) but my answer was incorrect
