When a battery reaches equilibrium...
« on: March 27, 2008, 06:05:26 PM »
Would the ion concentrations be large or small?

For example, would the concentratons of Zn2+ and Cu2+ be large or small when the battery has "run down" (reached equilibrium)

Also, why would this be?

Thanks!!!

Dear Clw89;

What would you expect for a cell that contains both your Ions?
Hint: You may read on:  "Galvanic Cell”.

Good Luck!
