Besides this forum ...
« on: January 15, 2008, 10:46:22 AM »
... where do you go in the web for chemistry questions/answers and discussions?

I've given up on the Usenet, there's a net-wide sporge attack, maybe a few years from now it'll die down.

This place is nice enough, sometimes, but we seem to be drowning in the same old questions again and again.

So, where else is good?

There are many chemistry forums, but none more active than this one.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Dear Mitch;

I agree with you, as soon as you narrow it to “English Chemistry Forums”.

Good Luck!

Several of the friendlier chemistry forums are in the links page: http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?module=Links;id=2

Dear Mitch;

I still agree with you, if you narrow it to your List.

But I visit also a few of several “German Chemistry Forums”, and there are some at least comparable.

Only for an Example:
How to bet:   672’496 Posts;  91’345 Topics; and 28’604 Members?

Good Luck!

Thanks for the links.  Many are dead, but, I thank you for them anyway.

I'm not going to narrow my claim. This way I can be more annoying than usual. :P

Dear Mitch;

Oh!,    ─    I can understand if that is your Trade Mark.
But is it the same when you always answer questions, usually?

Why has a little bit of true to be sooooooooo worse? (I, ─ I like this Forum!)

Good Luck!

P.S.: I will close it with this impotant Awareness.

I was a member of the Hive until it went down, now the main other chemistry forum I frequent is Wetdreams, an offshoot of the hive, is where most of the bees in diaspora now rest their wings and set about the communal honey discussion.

I was a member of sciencemadness, but I can't remember my username or password since the unpleasant incident a couple of years ago with the fed, I haven't reregistered yet, but I lurk and read.
The light blinds
So behold darkness as our new light
In our darkness we can see
So with others blindness
We take flight.
