Avogadro Exam 2003 Questions
« on: May 03, 2008, 09:58:56 PM »
Hello,

I am just doing the University of Waterloo's 2003 Avogadro Exam for studying for my chemistry exam, and I am having some trouble with the following question.

Thanks in advance for any help.

---

1. To precipitate Ag+ from an aqueous solution, one could add:

a) HNO3
b) NaNO3
c) NH3
d) Zn(NO3)2
e) NaCl

I am not sure how to solve this problem. I looked at the Activity Series and found that all the metals in choices A-E can displace Ag+.
