stereocenters
« on: May 18, 2008, 09:43:38 PM »
Hi,
Another question... :)

Does 1,2,3-trichlorocyclopropane have any stereocenters?
Because of the symmetry I would think that would be a meso compond, but I am not sure.
Thanks!

There are two diastereoisomers, both are meso compounds. Think about the relative stereochemistry of the chlorine substituents.
