DuPont DDA40 what is its use
« on: March 24, 2008, 08:26:01 AM »
I have a quantity of DuPont DDA40 a web search of DuPont site gave no reference to the product.Oil industry contacts suggest it is an anti foaming agent for diesel fuel another suggested it is a surfactant for making kerosene into an oil in water emulsion degrease fluid. One of the products I make in my lube blending facility is such a fluid with kerosene and other nonionic surfactants.I need some data prior to lab tests. Product label on drum shows manufacturing date as 1991.Deduction suggests C12,dodecyl something.Accurate data would be appreciated.

My chem professor was previously a DuPont employee.  If I think of it, I'll ask him.
