Hi All,

I am doing some research into a Chemist named Russel Marker.  He was responsible among other things in producing synthetic Testosterone and Progesterone from plant sterols, namely from the South American wild yam.

I have found a lot of information on this guy but would like to find detailed information as to the actuall process he used for synthesis.  If anyone can help me out by pointing me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.  I'm doing a degree in history and do not have chemistry background so please be gentle
