equalization chemicals used in electroplating

Hi, can you give me information about  equalization chemicals used in electroplating? for example molasses.. what is the affect of molasses to plating? so my question is that what are the affects of equalization while plating chemicals ?  ;)

Could you ask the graduate student to describe his definition of an "equilization chemical"?
