Posting image in line with text
« on: June 03, 2008, 03:40:31 AM »
Hi,

Can anyone point me at the instructions for including images in a post in this forum?

I have found the "image" button but that just seems to add the <image> tag - and I don't know what then to do with that.

I have also used the attach image facility - but that just adds image at the end of the post rather than at a point in line in the post.

Thanks

I think the img tag is better used when you have a URL to an image online, so e.g.

[img http://www.chemicalforums.com/Themes/default/images/bbc/img.gif][/img] was produced by clicking the img button, then putting the url in the first box, a bit like

(img http://www.chemicalforums.com/Themes/default/images/bbc/img.gif)(/img) - brackets changed.

hmm, that didn't work. Guess I'm wrong

If you have an image on your hard drive, you can select Additional options (below the text box) and navigate to the image via the attach box. (that's how I put the picture of isonazide up)

img tag is for using images from external online source.

(just don't use spaces after opening square brackets).
