On the one hand,we've got radical-right wing extremists who stubbornly deny the most simple and obvious truths. The world is not round.Columbus and Megellan had it wrong.
At the far opposite extreme we have Al Gore, the Kyoto Accord, and all sorts of arbitrary goals and deadlines which may not be realistic to achieve.Such "knee-jerk"reactionary decisions may not be well-planned or thought-out;and may not only harm the economy, but actually make global warming and other environmental problems worse.
The final conclusion? Niether total denial nor extreme draconian measures are the right approach to global warming. But instead,we need to be calm and rational about devising the best solutions to global warming...that are not only the most fast and efficient solutions, but also the most realistic as well.
