Depends on whom you ask. Some say yes, some say no. Many experts agree there is a link, but some disagree - and at least IMHO their opinion can't be neglected. I don't think we understand climate good enough to be sure. That said we shouldn't emit greenhouse gases without limits and we should preserve oil/coal resuorces.

Apparently our greenhouse gases are so intense and out of control we are now polluting Mars.  :-*

Personally I'd like to say that they are related.  From what I've seen they both appear to have risen at the same time, although it's not a strict field of interest for me.

I did read the article on Mars.  It was very interesting.  I must wonder if NASA and/or other space agencies have  recorded solar output that support this.

If so they probably won't share it - at least not until we have some form of tax - either mandatory or voluntary.  That is what this debate is about in my opinion.

I'd suggest the movie "An Inconvenient Truth"

It offers a common explanation of the link between greenhouses gases, mainly CO2, and global warming. It can be a bit extremist at times though.

On the one hand,we've got radical-right wing extremists who stubbornly deny the most simple and obvious truths.The world is not round.Columbus and Megellan had it wrong.

      At the far opposite extreme we have Al Gore,the Kyoto Accord,and all sorts of arbitrary goals and deadlines which may not be realistic to achieve.Such "knee-jerk"reactionary decisions may not be well-planned or thought-out;and may not only harm the economy,but actually make global warming and other environmental problems worse.

      The final conclusion? Niether total denial nor extreme draconian measures are the right approach to global warming.But instead,we need to be calm and rational about devising the best solutions to global warming...that are not only the most fast and efficient solutions,but also the most realistic as well.
