Q: Which of the following has naturally occurring ions with two different charges?

Choices:
A. H
B. He
C. V
D. Sr

Answer is V since transitional metals have more than one charge.  But couldn't be be Hydrogen as well since it has +1 charge with a metal and -1 charge with a nonmetal?

Please elaborate - what do you mean by "+1 with metal".

It is one of those questions that should be never asked. At least IMHO.
