I was wondering what the difference was between animal grade antibiotics vs human grade. There is a huge difference in prices even though the bottles indicate that its the same content.

It probably has to do with the purity/quality control. The human-grade antibiotics will be very pure and free of harmful contaminants, whereas this may not be true for the animal-grade antibiotics.

that is why in some areas they are using human grade anti-infectives in animals...like poultry....
i have seen a chicken farmer force one of his rooster to drink a 500 mg human grade erythromicin...
