Weight to Weigt calculations
« on: August 01, 2008, 10:42:18 AM »
I am having difficulty finding out how 40 grams of calcium produces 74 grams of calcium hydroxide.

also how 65 grams of Zinc produces 161 grams of Zinc Sulfate

or how 65 gms of Zn = 2 gms of H

start with balanced equations.

hint: you can't compare weight (or, more accurately, mass) to weight(mass) values.  You can only compare mole to mole values.
Knowing why you got a question wrong is better than knowing that you got a question right.
