How do I start this problem. Calculate the pH of 0.015M solution of NaClO. I really dont know how to start this one either.

I think you should write out the equation out first. If it is a weak acid find Ka and from that find H
+
concentration and Ph=-log(H
+
)

This is a hydrolysis problem
ClO(-) + H2O = HClO + OH(-)
since HClO ia a weak acid

And pKa of hypochlorous acid is 7,53
