Solubility equation

Question 1.

Write a solubility chemical equation of element silver (Ag) in pure water at Ph=7 and 25oC, assuming that hydrolysis to Ag(OH)2- and precipitation of Ago are the only reactions that control Ag solubility.

MY SOLUTION:

2H2O + 2Ag = Ag(OH)2- +Ago + 2H+

Can somebody tell me if my equation is right? Thanks

the charge doesn't balance in your equation.

This reaction cannot proceed without oxidiser.

This reaction cannot proceed without oxidiser.

That's only a matter of equilibrium - you will reach it with very low concentrations of Ag dissolved this way. But you will need oxidiser to push equilibrium further, to higher Ag(OH)2- concentrations :)
