Question regarding Van Hoff Constant
« on: September 16, 2008, 07:03:10 PM »
3.554 g of K2SO4 is dissolved in 50.029 g of water.  The freezing point of the solution is -1.03 C.  What is the van Hoff constant for K2SO4 in this solution?

A) 1.00
B) 1.36
C) 3.00
D) 3.66

I have no idea how to solve this problem.  Could someone guide me in the right direction please.  Thanks

Write formula, solve for i, enter all known data.
