Consider a sealed box containing 1.00 mol He(g) @ STP. This box is to be located in Earth's orbit in outerspace(surrounded by a vacuum). The temperature inside the box is maintained at STP. Your mission is to drill a hole in one wall of this box such that He(g) effuses through through the hole at an initial rate of 1.00x10^15 molecules per micrsosecond(10^-6s). What diameter hole will you drill?

This problem is giving me a wide array of problems. Am I suppose to use collision frequency equation?

Zwall = (N/4V)(8RT/piM)^1/2

I just realized theres another equation in this sample test that I have never seen, so I am assuming this is how its done, but still I don't have much idea how to solve the problem.

lamda = 1/(2^(1/2)pi(d^2)N*)). I don't know what most of the variables mean and I dont understand what unit this could be in.
