Co2 Ibridation.

Hi, I am a new user of this forum. I have some problems with language, because I am Italian.
So, I would like to ask you about the molecular structure of Co2. I know that it is linear, but i cannot explain it with my analysis of the probable behaviour of single atoms of Carbon and Oxigen. So I just ask this to you: what is the ibridation of the single atoms? I thank whoever will help me.

But it (the image of carbon dioxide)doesn't let me realize that the molecula is symmetric, so i can't understand how they say it is not polar.Why do they say it is?

let me ask you these questions:

what is they hybridization of the carbon atom in CO2?
What is the geometry of carbon dioxide, based on the hybridization of the carbon atom?
What is the angle of the O-C-O bond in CO2?
Is the C-O bond polarized?  If so, in which direction?
If the bond is polarized, and given that there are 2 C-O bonds in CO2, what effect does the hybridization of the carbon atom and the O-C-O bond angle have on the polarity of the molecule?
Is the molecule polar?
Knowing why you got a question wrong is better than knowing that you got a question right.
