So I have trouble balancing this equation:
Cr2O72-(aq) + C2H5OH(aq) → Cr3+(aq) + CO2(g). I balanced half of it using the half-reaction method and got this so far:
6e + 14H+ + Cr2O7 2- -> 2Cr 3+ +7H2O, but I have trouble doing the other half:
C2H5OH -> CO2 part. If someone can give me a hint to as where I should start on this other half, it would be really nice.
Thanks you.
