is this problem really as simple as it seems?
En = -RH/n2
where RH is 2.180 x 10 -18 J and n is the principle quantum number of the energy level. the energy of an electron that has been removed from the atom is 0J. Calculate the amount of energy required to remove an electron from the n=1 energy level of a hydrogen atom (energy final- energyinitial).
isnt the answer just -2.180 x 10-18?
