Of course i know the structure of the group two metal
the Be and Mg have the h.c.p.
whereas have the c.c.p.
and Ba have the b.c.c
but how this structure would make the difference of the melting point of these metal
is it because of the packing efficiency?
but then why the Ba would have higher melting point than the magnesium
the Ba only have b.c.c and only have packing efficiency of 68%
if it really determined by the packing efficiency ..it would have contradicion!
plz help me
