Hi,

I am planning to grow ferritin crystals inside a membrane made of mica, (or possibly polycarbonate or polyimide), but once I succeed, (hopefully), I need to get them out. Do you know how to dissolve mica sheets, available commercially? Obviously it needs to be done without damging the crystals.

I'm afraid I'm not a chemist, (undergraduate physicist), so apologies if this is in the wrong section I didn't understand the subject headings!!
