Oxidation of vinyl group

Hi everyone. I am performing oxidation of a vinyl group using KMnO4, KIO3, and NaHCO3, to get a carboxylic acid. Can anyone explain to me the mechanism in which this happens? I can't seem to find it in my organic chemistry book.
