[Pathfinder]

I found this substance in old patent about resin colorant, but for some reason I cannot find any info about it: dimethyl-3,3'-(benzylimino)-dipropionate.
Can anyone convert this to modern name, I assume that nowadays it would be written something like:
3-[benzyl-(3-?)amino]-??-dimethyl-propanoate

I would appreciate any help.
