I have a question in re: http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=334
I'm doing a similar lab and am having trouble calculating "FeNCS2+, equilibrium standardization curve"
We were given a set of standard solutions to establish a standardization curve. I calculated Absorbance by taking the -log [%transmittance\100] for 4 different solutions. I plotted the graph and made the straight line but have no idea as to how to calculate FeNCS2+. Please Help
Thanks
You'll need the linear regression equation, are you using excel? You should know how to do this. This curve will represent the absorbance as a function of concentration. If you were to know the absorbance value measured for a particular concentration, you can make a good estimate of the concentration by using the equation.
