Industrially Useful Processes
« on: January 15, 2009, 12:32:01 AM »
Mr. Sloan wants us to write a report about various chemical reactions that are used in industry.  He assigned us a temperature and pressure range and I'm having a bit of a problem finding anything that fits what he gave me.  My paper has to be about stuff from 1500-2500 psi and 500-1200 degrees C.  Google and Wikipedia and stuff are not coming up with anything but maybe I'm not putting in the right search words.  The paper is due in 4 weeks and I want to get it out of the way so please point me in the right direction.  Thanks.

Tungsten hexacarbonyl would require those approximate pressures and temperatures to make.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
